In a report filed by Instablog9ja, the utilization of the cameras would improve transparency and accountability within the activities of enforcement agencies.

He then said the devices would help to put the state government in a better position in order to respond to security challenges in real-life time.

The governor also approved mass training for the state’s enforcement personnel on the utilization of body-worn cameras, before the deployment of the digital tools for security operations across the state.

After the training, all state-funded enforcement officers would be mandated to wear body cameras for his or her operations. According to Mr. Sanwo-Olu, the supply of adequate security may be a key pillar of the administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S. agenda, and therefore the initiative reflects the government’s resolution to make sure Lagos remains secure for residents and investors.

”I am pleased to inaugurate the utilization of body-worn cameras by enforcement officers in Lagos and this is often a groundbreaking move to reinforce safety within the state, as well as increase transparency and accountability within the activities of our enforcement agencies,” he said.
